In 2000, Infogear (later acquired by Cisco Systems) filed an infringement claim against the owners of the iPhones.com domain name.  The owners of the iPhones.com domain name challenged the infringement claim in the Northern District Court of California.  Cisco Systems acquired Infogear, including the iPhone trademark.  In September 2000, Cisco Systems settled with the owners of iPhones.com, where by Cisco Systems granted intellectual property rights to the owners of iPhones.com with confidential terms for use of any designation of the iPhones.com domain name.  Although it is not publicly disclosed in the UDRP ruling regarding the end result, the iPhones.com UDRP decision was cancelled and thus, reversed back to the original owners of the iPhones.com.  Thus, Infogear did not win the UDRP nor did they have the domain transferred to them, even though the UDRP indicates otherwise.  Note:  Many groups originally thought that the domain was transferred because of the UDRP result, but it was not publicly disclosed that it was challenged in court which resulted in the UDRP being cancelled.
